SAFI - New Single "Gloria"
German postpunk and avantgarde artist reveals second single "Gloria" from her upcoming album "Groteske".

SAFI's new single is about pride - the glory. What it does in our heads, what it does to "world power". How much of pride is a compensation for insecurity, a prosthesis, comfortable arrogance? How many steps of national pride are there before exclusion, oppression, war? Glory - a frenzy of steel? "Gloria" is politically critical of the times. Safi declares pride to be a poison, a sweet hallucinogen that makes you blind. No pride that does not simultaneously belittle its surroundings. Is glory the driving force behind the collapse of our world? Is reason returning to humanity in waves, just as one world rises and one falls?
The track demands, dances like a triangle on its tip and drills itself into the memory with a shrill scream. "Gloria" was recorded live and produced by Moses Schneider.
SAFI about the new single: "Gloria is the oldest track from the upcoming album. We rehearsed it first, recorded it first in order to fill the blank sheets".
