Carlita - New album "Sentimental"

Turkish-Italian DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist Carlita (real name Carla Frayman) announces her long-awaited debut album 'Sentimental' via Ninja Tune. The 2024 release is the culmination of Carlita's musical journey years and years in the making. The album notes a creative milestone in her productions, building a sonic narrative using her life experiences as its building blocks.

"There's so much thought process that goes into an album and that's why it's taken so long for me to be truly happy with it. The creative process has been amazing albeit stressful at times but it's been so rewarding", remarks the musician.

Each song unfolds like a story, drawing from her roots and the experiences that have shaped her journey. From introspective melodies to moments of bold experimentation, Sentimental captures the complexity of feeling in a way that resonates across boundaries.

The album has been curated, co-written, and produced with the help of DJ Tennis and Joseph Ashworth, who have enjoyed and shaped the process over the years. This synergy produced a stand-alone album that made waves immediately upon its release.

This release signals a new chapter in Carlita’s musical evolution, inviting listeners to reflect, move, and lose themselves in the shared experience of sound. Sentimental is available now on all major streaming platforms and has earned prominent placements on several popular Spotify editorial playlists. Most notably, she landed the cover of mint, one of Spotify’s flagship playlists for cutting-edge electronic music.
