Adam Beyer, the renowned Swedish techno producer and head of Drumcode, has unveiled “Explorer,” the lead single from his forthcoming album Explorer Vol. 1, marking his first full-length release in over two decades. Set for release on June 13, 2025, the album signifies a new chapter in Beyer’s illustrious career, blending his signature techno sound with fresh influences and a futuristic aesthetic.
The single “Explorer” sets the tone with its industrial beats, deep bass stabs, and commanding spoken-word vocals. A growling voice delivers an urgent message, pressing for change with the challenge: “So whatchu gonna do?” This dark energy underscores the track’s thought-provoking theme.
Explorer Vol. 1 comprises 16 tracks, featuring collaborations with artists such as Coco Francavilla, Layton Giordani, Chris Avantgarde, Max Styler, Julian Jeweil, HNTR, and Kyozo. The album draws from Beyer’s past influences and ongoing sonic explorations, weaving in his long-standing fascination with science fiction, which shapes both the music and its visual aesthetic.
