RAUM27 - New single "Meer"

With "Meer", RAUM27 release their debut single for the freshly announced second album ‘Keine Tränen’, which will be released on 7 February 2025. In "Meer", Tristan and Mathis rely on rousing melodies and profound lyrics to address the many facets of closeness and distance.

"Meer" takes its listeners on a musical journey that thematises the ambivalence of affection and longing. The song unfolds as a soulful dialogue between the beauty of the moment and the need for more - for a deeper connection, for a place in the world where one has truly arrived. The sea is a central metaphor that stands for stability and balance, but also for the unpredictability of emotions.

The ‘sea’ symbolises the vastness and contradictions inherent in interpersonal relationships: "Sometimes a day by the sea is enough for me. Less rarely I wish for more...". RAUM27 manage to translate these feelings into their music and combine the natural backdrop of the sea with the feelings of uncertainty and security that many people experience in their relationships.

"I grew up by the sea. It's just there," and yet the question remains whether the constant calm of the sea is really enough - the ambivalence of affection, the struggle between arriving and continuing to search.

Singer Tristan summarises the essence of the song in his own words as follows: "I love watching you do the little things that I don't see without you. When you give the little moments meanings that I have to look up first. Like the sea and the variety of affections reflected in it. Sometimes a day by the sea is enough for me. Less rarely, I wish for more. I grew up by the sea. It's just there. And now your laughter is reflected in the salt crystals of the water, that slight movements of the waves throw me off balance. If I threaten to fall, you hold me. Rock solid. My street shoes sink into the sand. I haven't been here for a long time. I'll stay as long as I can."

"Meer" is the first harbinger of the upcoming album Keine Tränen, which marks the next big step in RAUM27’s musical development. The duo remain true to themselves by once again focussing on the combination of emotional depth and socially relevant themes. The single is a strong prelude and gives a promising preview of what the new album has in store. "Meer" is now available on all major streaming platforms.

After their debut Anfangen Anzufangen and two sold-out headline tours, the two musicians used the time to process the experiences of the last few months and incorporate their impressions into new songs. "With ‘Keine Tränen’ we know exactly what we want," is how the duo describe the further development of their style and their messages.

While the first album was still strongly characterised by the euphoria of new beginnings, Keine Tränen is a more mature, well thought-out work. It is not just a snapshot, but rather an amalgamation of experiences and adventures. With their second album, RAUM27 want to prove that they have finally arrived.

Keine Tränen offers an impressive variety of new tracks that clearly reflect the duo's musical development. It follows on seamlessly from the duo's musical style, but at the same time significantly expands the spectrum. The new songs not only invite you to dance, but also thematise socially relevant topics. RAUM27 succeed in combining personal experiences and emotional depths with the challenges of a generation that is searching for its way between the expectations of society, personal pressure and global crises. Despite the serious themes, their music retains lightness. This special blend of melancholy, hope and musical playfulness is what makes up the duo's unmistakable style.

The band announced their major tour for the new album back in June 2024. In spring 2025, RAUM27 will tour Germany and Austria for a total of 16 concerts and perform in cities such as Hamburg, Cologne, Munich, Vienna and Berlin. Fans can look forward to energetic live shows in which the charismatic stage presence of Tristan and Mathis will take centre stage. The incomparable live energy of the two promises an unforgettable experience once again.
