With "In Ordnung" Christin Nichols recently fired the starting signal for her new album and the upcoming tour. "Wie New York" is the second single to be released and as Nichols says: "It's the perfect song to get you in the mood for the upcoming tour".
It's a bit outrageous what this woman can fit into in a single life. After all, the Berlin native is not only a musician, but an actress with television and theater experience, a dubbing artist and a full-time badass who loves to rage against the machine with a killer smile. The most wonderful thing about her is that she doesn't even pretend that everything is fine.
Nichols' solo debut album "I'm Fine", released in early 2022, was exactly the album that guitar music in Germany desperately needed: mercilessly sovereign, but always permeable and tender, angry and wistful, plus full of great melodies and songs that are influenced by the internet and present pop culture as well as by postpunk and wave. Spiegel Online, Zeit Online, Musikexpress, Vogue and Cosmopolitan were full of praise: "I'm Fine" blew your tired head free, because you had the feeling of listening to a woman who just found her very own definition of strength. Moreover, Radio 1 even nominated her for "album of the year".
Christin Nichols long awaited second album "Rette Sich, Wer Kann" will be out March 22, 2024! Until then she will be on tour, starting end of November 2023.
