Rossano Snel - new EP "CARBON"
Artist, producer and songwriter Rossano Snel shares his newest collection of musical creations.

Carbon is the musical way I found to deal and handle my anxious thoughts about climate change and the fact that I don’t know how our life in this planet will be within 20 - 30 years (or in the near future).
A sort of a dystopian, glitchy point of view of where we are as human beings - on the verge of a collapse.
This EP is also the natural sequence of 2 previous releases I did this year: lost control and when the birds stop singing.
It defines what I call SHOEGAZE MINIMALISM, which is the name I found for the music I do, a style that is influenced by the New York minimalism under heavy doses of melancholy and saudade and combined with notes from jazz harmonies, and vamps and pattern-based music such as techno and ambient.
The highlight of this EP is "Lithium", an intimate cover version of my most beloved Nirvana song.
"Force of Nature (you and me)" is the song that opens the EP and is neo-classical / ambient song with glitches and a intimate piano.
"NOTHING WILL BE THE SAME" and "Nothing Will Be" are using a lot of the Shoegaze Minimalism idea. They are multiple piano takes juxtaposed. We are not looking into the future is a drone, perhaps the most dystopian song on the EP.
Despite all that, I am very positive person. I believe in humanity and in human beings and I hope I am wrong about all these things I wrote up here.
