Writers: Jürgen Attig, Hans-Jörn Brandenburg, Martin Langer, Franz Plasa, Michy Reincke

The prominent German pop band, best known for their hit "Taxi nach Paris" which became an iconic song of the 1980s, formed in Hamburg in 1982. The band quickly rose to fame with their distinctive new wave and pop-rock sound.

The band was founded by songwriter and vocalist Michy Reincke, whose lyrical talent became a defining feature of Felix de Luxe. Felix de Luxe's music often explores themes of love, urban life, and personal introspection, encapsulated in a style that combines energetic pop rhythms with thoughtful lyricism.

Their self-titled debut album, released in 1984, included the breakthrough single "Taxi nach Paris," which remains a classic in the German pop music canon. Throughout the 1980s, Felix de Luxe released several albums, maintaining a significant presence in the German music scene. After disbanding in the late 1980s, Felix de Luxe occasionally reunited for special performances, bringing their nostalgic yet timeless sound to new audiences.

Michy Reincke, in particular, continued his musical career as a solo artist, keeping the spirit of Felix de Luxe alive through his ongoing work and as a writer.
