Frederic Mirage is a unique artist and musician. His legendary 1979 debut album „Atlantic“ combines a large variety of music genres – synth pop, classic, electronic and rock. He was one of the first German musicians to incorporate the Moog synthesizer sound and performed with 4 different keyboards on stage.
„Atlantic“ evokes a homogeneous sound of analogue synth music combined with live accompaniments such as guitars, drums, piano or clavinet. Minimalistic sounds meet melodic bows with a view to stir up emotions.
In the 1980s when vinyl sales were going down and CDs became more and more popular no further releases were following. But in 2012 Frederic Mirage’s music was rediscovered when a New York rap artist sampled one of his songs and named it „Cheap Whores and Champagne“. This was followed by Frederic Mirage’s releases „Timemachine“ and „D-Lights“ in 2014 and 2015 of previously un-released songs on vinyl and CD, produced in 1980 for today’s lovers of analogue music.
Music is his life. This is where his feelings, hopes and dreams are flowing, it’s the desire to touch hearts. See for yourself at his upcoming live show on November 29th, 2016 at BÜZE-Köln Ehrenfeld when Frederic Mirage will lead his audience through a music journey from 1981 to 2016.
